Currently a Nurse Manager looking to move into general health management? Come and play a key role in shaping the success of our business.

The ‘take a number’ transactional approach is fine for the local deli counter but can no longer be the standard for healthcare.

Our primary objective is to provide an exceptional level of service for both patients and their carers from first point of contact until we return them to health.

We are building the facilities and resources to make this possible. We now need the leadership to help bring our vision to reality.

Who we are looking for

  • You are currently successfully managing a large nursing team and looking to transition into general healthcare administration. 
  • You thrive on building great teams and a patient-centric culture. 
  • You are a high potential individual who has the capacity to learn quickly and with our support, grow into an exceptional Practice Manager. 

Role Overview

We are in the exciting position of building something new. This requires flexibility from our leadership team. For this role, that will include actively leading the nursing team and working on the floor as needed in the short term.

This also creates the opportunity to successfully develop your general management capabilities as the clinic and overall organisation scales, to set you up for success in the long term.

Your key responsibilities will include:

People

  • Take a pivotal role in the leadership and culture setting for the organisation.
  • Actively participate in the planning, selection, development and performance management of the team.

Operations

  • Ensure the successful day-to-day operation of the clinic to provide a consistent, high quality of service in a safe environment for both customers and staff.

Customer Service/Marketing

  • Understand the impact delivering consistently high levels of customer service and satisfaction have on the long term performance of the business.
  • Ensure the execution of all business and clinical processes to provide a great customer experience.

Finance and Planning

  • Work closely with the executive team to manage the operations in-line with performance goals.
  • You will have a significant impact on both customer service and financial performance through the active allocation and management of organisation resources on a day-to-day basis.

Risk Management

  • Assist in the development of clear policies and processes to minimise, monitor and control the probability and/or impact of potential risks faced by the organisation.
  • Act as a primary steward for the organisation to ensure the implementation and adherence to relevant processes and policies

Key Criteria

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Extensive emergency department experience.
  • A keen interest in, and high level of competency, in paediatric care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with children and their families.
  • National Police and Working with Children clearances.
