-
Do you offer CT scans, ultrasound and other diagnostic scans?
Kinkaya only offers plain x-ray.
Plain x-ray gives a very low dose of radiation. This is a safe and simple option that meets the needs of the type of presentations we treat at the clinic.
-
Do you accept external referrals for x-ray?
No we don't offer a service for the completion of x-rays from external referrals.
We can only complete x-rays that are requested by our doctors after assessing a patient.
-
When is an x-ray needed?
Not every bump or cough requires an x-ray. At Kinkaya we will only request an x-ray if it helps make a better diagnosis.
Our doctors may request an x-ray if they think one of the following is going on:
- Bone injuries
- Lung conditions
- Bowel blockages
- Swallowed objects

Where can I learn more about x-rays?
