"I love seeing kids feeling better and smiling after you have cared for them."

For Yzzy, that'sone of the most rewarding parts of working in paediatrics.

A newly graduated Enrolled Nurse, Yzzy completed her studies in December and joined theKinkayateam in May. While she is at the beginning of her nursing career, her interest in caring for children started much earlier.

"Having very young siblings growing up and looking after them sparked my interest in working in paediatrics," she says.

These days, her role involves caring for children of all ages, assistingwithobservationsand supporting families through their visit.

"A typical day for me looks like lots ofobsand meeting cute babies," she says.Recently, Yzzy has cared for several children who arrived with lacerations after falls.

"Luckily, most are not big, so they can be cleaned up and sent home without too much pain or discomfort."

What has stood out most since joiningKinkayahas been the people.

"Kinkayais special because of the one-in-a-million staff we have. Everyone is so friendly, lovelyand warm. It feels like a family."

For Yzzy, Kinkaya is a place where compassionate care, supportive colleagues and a little bit of magic come together every day.
